BREAKING NEWS: PLATEAU GOVERNMENT RELAXES CURFEW IN JOS NORTH; LIFTS BAN ON TRICYCLES

Plateau State Government has announced a further relaxation of curfew in Jos North Local Government Area as well as lifted the ban earlier placed on operations of tricycles commonly referred to as Keke.  After a meeting of the State Security Council held on Monday 7th September 2021 at the new Government House Little Rayfield Jos, Governor Simon Bako Lalong approved that beginning from Tuesday 8th September 2021, the curfew in Jos North will be enforced from 10pm to 6am.  This will tally with the current status of the curfew in Jos South and Bassa Local Government Areas which still remains from 10pm to 6am.  Similarly, Governor Lalong also approved that beginning from Tuesday 8th September 2021, the ban placed on operations of tricycles will be lifted from 6am to 6pm daily. GUNMEN KILLED THREE FARMERS IN PLATEAU ATTACK 06/09/2021

    By JAMES ABRAHAM   Gunmen have killed three farmers in Bassa Local Government Area of Plateau State.   The PUNCH gathered that the three victims were on their way to the farm when they were shot dead by the gunmen on Monday morning .   The incident, it was gathered, occurred at the Renwienku community in the Miango district of the council area where gummen had killed someone five days ago after they attacked some farmers in the locality. Others had escaped the attack.   Spokesman for the Miango Youths Development Association, Nuhu Bitrus, confirmed the latest attack on the farmers to our correspondent in Jos on Monday .   Bitrus said, “It was around 7am on Monday when some villagers heard some gunshots .   “When they rushed to the scene, they discovered the bodies of three villagers lying dead on the bush path in the pool of their own blood.
