NEWLY APPOINTED CHIEF OF STAFF TO PLATEAU STATE GOVERNOR COMMENDS PARA FOR PROMOTING PEACE ON THE PLATEAU
Nathaniel Mobolade, Jos.
The Peace And Reconciliation Alliance, PARA, has been commended for its tireless efforts in promoting peace and peaceful coexistence among Displaced Persons and communities in Plateau State.
The commendation was made by the newly appointed Chief of Staff to the Plateau State Governor, Engineer Jeremiah Satmak at his residence on Saturday, when the Management and Staff of the Non-Governmental Organisation led by its CEO Ambassador MaryAnn Mutle(JP) paid him a courtesy/congratulatory visit and a presentation of a gift of a picture frame sketched by a member of the team.
The Chief of Staff to the Governor, took the opportunity to appreciate the CEO for her efforts since the early 2000's when the state was thrown into chaos by unscrupulous elements in promoting peace and peaceful coexistence in the State, Nigeria and Africa as a whole.
He said "this is a surprise to me, the visit alone has lifted me and the gift is one that was never expected and I tell you this visit and gift is one I'm not taken for granted"
He said further that 'I really want to commend your organisation for the wonderful work you are doing in promoting peace and peaceful co-existence, there are still grounds to conquer and I assure you of Government's desire to partner with you in bringing lasting peace to our communities ravaged by crisis, as you know an injury to one, is an injury to all".
Earlier, the CEO of PARA, Amb.MaryAnn Mutle, congratulated him on his appointment and appreciated the Governor Barrister Caleb Mutfwang CON for finding him worthy for the appointment.
Amb Mutle enthused that "we in PARA have come to rejoice with you on your recent appointment as the Chief of Staff to the Governor and we hope that this will bring good fortunes to the state.
We believe our organisation and the State Government will collaborate in diverse ways to promote peace on the Plateau".
The CEO accompanied on the visit by Nathaniel Mobolade, Daniel Erioluwa, Sunday Rotji Jan and Dashe Gabriel.
